Please contact me to learn more about opportunities for undergraduates, PhD students, and postdocs. Interested students are encouraged to email me to discuss research possibilities. Most prospective PhD students will have had intensive research experience (often leading to a publication) either as an undergraduate or Master’s student.

Current opportunities:

PhD students: Students with a strong interest in studying hummingbird-flower interactions, leveraging a long-term data set obtained over many years at our Rocky Mountain field site, are encouraged to contact me. A background in community ecology, plant-pollinator interactions, and/or ecological dynamics would be particularly useful.

Postdocs: Although we are not actively recruiting postdocs at this time, postdocs with a strong interest in the development and genetics of structural color, mechanisms of color vision, advanced imaging techniques (such as virtual reality) and/or hummingbird-plant dynamics are welcome to contact me to discuss possibilities.

Undergraduates: Want to learn more but don’t know where to start? Contact me and we will help you get started.
